Hardeeville Catfish Beauty Pageant

 The first event of the 2009 Hardeeville Catfish Festival is our beauty pageant. The young ladies of Jasper County will join together to celebrate their strength, beauty and integrity. The winners will be announced during the 2009 Hardeeville Catfish Festival and serve as Teen Miss and Miss Catfish! For information and registration forms, contact Latrell Spikes.

  • Where: Abundant Life Academy Gym
  • Who: Jasper County women ages 0-21,  Boys up to age 4.
  • When: Saturday, September 12th @ 10am, Check-in at 9:30 am.
  • (Rehearsal takes place on Friday, September 11th @ 6pm.
  • Entry Fee: $25 - $40

 Hardeeville Catfish Run

 The ride begins at the Holiday Inn Express in Hardeeville, SC.  Take I-95 to Exit 8.  Registration will begin at 9:00 am.  The first bike pulls out at 11 am, and there will be 4 stops.  (Tillman, Handy Dans (hwy 321 & 336); Grays, Murray's store (hwy 3 & 278); Coosawhatchie, truck stop (hwy 17 & 462); Hardeeville, Millstone Landing (Purrysburg Rd).  50% of the entry fee will be awarded to the winner.

  • Where: Meet at Holiday Inn Express (exit 8, I-95) 
  • Who: Motorcycle enthusiasts
  • When: Saturday, September 12th, 10 am - 4 pm. 
  • Entry Fee: $25 fee includes lunch, $5 extra hand, $10 extra rider (includes meal).

 Hardeeville Golf Tournament

 

 The tournament will be held at the Tradition National Golf Course designed by Tommy Fazio as part of the 2009 Catfish Festival. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards buying books and other materials for the Hardeeville Library. Sponsorship opportunities for the tournament are still available.

  • Who: Golfers of all skill levels
  • When: Tuesday, September 15th, Shotgun start at 9 am, check-in at 8 am. 
  • Entry Fee: $350 for a team of four / $100 for individuals

 Hardeeville Land Boat Race

The Hardeeville Land Boat Race kicks off events for the weekend.  The craft must resemble a boat and have no less than three wheels.  Participants must be 16 years orolder.

  • When: Friday, September 18th, Race starts at 6 pm, Set up at 5 pm.

 Hardeeville Catfish Main Festival

All this comes to a climax on Saturday September 19th as rides, games, and competitions take over the Hardeeville Recreation Facility. Events are happening from ten in the morning until ten at night. Carnival rides will be open all day as well as an assortment of food and craft vendors. The celebration kicks off with the Catfish Parade at 10:00 am followed by the national anthem at 11:30 am and the night ends at 10 pm with fireworks.  Kenny D and the Pharaohs will take the stage at 7pm and make sure everyone ends the night on a high note.

 Hardeeville Catfish Car & Bike Show

 The Hardeeville Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 2009 Car & Bike Show. Hot rods of all types will be on display at City Hall as area car clubs bring in their prized possessions to show off and win prizes.

  • Who: Anyone with a car

 Hardeeville Bake Off Contest

 The Catfish Festival wouldn’t be complete without a chance to show off your recipe. Prizes will be given out for the tastiest catfish stew. If a sweet treat is more your style you can also enter the cake and pie cooking contest.

 The Lowcountry's Got Talent

 Think you can sing? Think you can dance? Do you play the kazuu? If so the 2009 Hardeeville Catfish Festival Committee wants you to come out and strut your stuff and show off your talent.
