Hardeeville Catfish Beauty Pageant

 The first event of the 2008 Hardeeville Catfish Festival is our beauty pageant. The young ladies of Jasper County will join together to celebrate their strength, beauty and integrity. The winners will be announced during the 2008 Hardeeville Catfish Festival and serve as Teen Miss and Miss Catfish! You can pick up applications at Hardeeville City Hall, Cripple Crab, Carolina Crab House, and Electric Beach & Tan Salon.

 Hardeeville Catfish Golf Tournament

 The tournament will be held at the Tradition National Golf Course designed by Tommy Fazio as part of the 2008 Catfish Festival. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards buying books and other materials for the Hardeeville Library. Sponsorship opportunities for the tournament are still available.

 Hardeeville Catfish Teen Dance

The night before the main festival the City of Hardeeville invites all young people to come out and dance to DJ Joe Brown and have a good time at the recreation facility behind City Hall. Prizes will be given out and fun will be had by all.

 Hardeeville Catfish Main Festival

All this comes to a climax on Saturday October 25th as rides, games and competitions take over the Hardeeville Recreation Facility. Events are happening from nine in the morning until ten at night. Carnival rides will be open all day as well as an assortment of food and craft vendors. The celebration kicks off with the national anthem at 10am and the night ends at 10pm with fireworks. High Velocity will take the stage at 7pm and make sure everyone ends the night on a high note.

 Hardeeville Catfish Kids Fishing Rodeo

 

It wouldn’t be a catfish festival if no one caught fish. The Marine Rescue Squadron and the Cubs Scouts will sponsor a fishing rodeo in the ponds behind City Hall for all kids that want to participate. Prizes will be given out for three separate age groups.

 Hardeeville Catfish Tennis Extravaganza

 Ever wanted to learn more about tennis? If you can break away from all the fun at City Hall and head over to the Hardeeville Schools Tennis Courts on Red Damn Rd. you can learn all about it from area experts.

 Hardeeville Catfish Car & Bike Show

 The Hardeeville Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 2008 Car & Bike Show. Hot rods of all types will be on display at City Hall as area car clubs bring in their prized possessions to show off and win prizes.

 Hardeeville Catfish Cooking Contest

 The Catfish Festival wouldn’t be complete without some catfish and here’s a chance to show off your recipe. Prizes will be given out for the tastiest catfish stew. If a sweet treat is more your style you can also enter the cake and pie cooking contest.

 Think you can sing? Think you can dance? Do you play the kazuu? If so the 2008 Hardeeville Catfish Festival Committee wants you to come out and strut your stuff in pursuit of being named Hardeeville Idol.
