Because of the unique building requirements in our hurricane-prone coastal area, Hardeeville has invested in acquiring International Building Code-certified and seasoned Building Official, Plan Review and Inspection Staff. The capabilities of our staff will ensure that all construction meets or exceeds the International Building Codes ICC and standards, while protecting the life and safety of our citizens. Our staff remains available and ready to help contractors businesses and developers unfamiliar with the Lowcountry's environs and associated building codes.

 Our dedicated building department, is ready to help contractors, developers, and homeowners, understand and meet Hardeeville’s building code requirements. This department is responsible for developing, implementing and enforcing all current adopted building codes, policies, ordinances, and procedures, required for processing and issuing building permits.
