December 19, 2017 -Hardeeville, SC - Excitement continues to grow around a new development coming to the City of Hardeeville. The East Argent Community is more than 7,300 acres and will bring in a total of 9,500 residential units when completed. The development will also include 1.5 million square feet of new commercial retail and office space.
A proposed development of this magnitude will obviously create questions and concerns about its potential impacts on the City and the region. To address these questions and concerns, the City has prepared a video regarding this development. Mayor Harry Williams, Councilwoman Carolyn Kassel and East Argent Developer Jeff Coggin discuss several aspects of the project in detail. The video is intended to explain and clear up any misconceptions about the proposed development. Hardeeville Planning Director Brana Snowden explains the development approval process, the various opportunities for public involvement, and the steps taken before the development is approved and a building permit is issued.
The video runs approximately 10 minutes and 30 seconds. The link is in the body of the email. It can also be found on the City of Hardeeville’s website, www.cityofhardeeville.com, by clicking 'Videos' and then 'Archived Videos'. News outlets may feel free to use any portions of the video as needed.
