The City of Hardeeville, South Carolina is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to serve as Planning Technician for one of the region’s highest growth areas. Hardeeville is in the heart of the Lowcountry and is strategically located between Savannah, GA and Hilton Head, SC.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
Responsible for providing customer service to City Staff, the public, and development professionals. This position is the first point of contact for general development and zoning inquiries. Advises residents, contractors, developers and other members of the public about the procedures administered by the Planning Department. Performs duties with initiative and a minimum supervision in support of the Planning Department in a challenging multi-task environment. This position must maintain professionalism and objectivity and be tactful and courteous in stressful situations. This position reports directly to the Planning Manager.
